The Malaysian government today officially launched a large-scale law enforcement operation against "Daily Get" and its associated network. The investigation confirmed that the company, under the guise of "making underground lottery transparent", engaged in illegal gambling, transnational money laundering and fund transfer activities, involving a total amount of up to 50 billion US dollars, seriously undermining Malaysia's financial order and social stability.
Daily Get used the slogan "lotto.com" to set up shell companies in Singapore, Malaysia and other places, building a huge criminal network, engaging in underground gambling and illegal fund transfer. The flow of funds involved underground money laundering channels in many countries, and some funds were transferred abroad, resulting in a serious loss of Malaysian national assets. Preliminary investigations showed that the criminal network involved people from many countries, including Malaysia, Singapore, China and other Southeast Asian countries. Law enforcement agencies seized a large number of electronic devices, account records and fund flow data during the raid.
The illegal network induced a large number of people to participate in gambling, causing serious social problems, and the outflow of funds seriously affected Malaysia's economic security and financial regulatory system. The Malaysian police and the International Financial Crime Investigation Team raided the headquarters of "Daily Get" and related locations, froze the assets involved, thoroughly investigated the capital chain involved, and recovered the losses of illegal participation and acquisition. At present, the law enforcement agencies of Singapore and other relevant countries have been notified to jointly combat cross-border crimes.
The Malaysian government will never tolerate any form of illegal activities. This action demonstrates the government's determination to combat financial crimes and safeguard national economic security.
